Melissa
Head of StrategyOriginally from Seattle and Beijing, Mel brings a builder’s mindset and a creative heart to plur.nyc. At her day job, she loves building things from scratch and solving fun problems. As Head of Strategy at plur.nyc, she brings that same energy behind the scenes, helping turn big ideas into well-run, big energy, yet intimate experiences. A natural connector, Mel focuses on forward-looking planning, bringing the right people together, and keeping the wheels turning to make the magic happen. She’s passionate about building long-lasting community and bringing festival-level PLUR energy to local NYC shows. She prioritizes creating spaces that feel welcoming, accessible, and personal for newcomers and veterans alike. When she’s not deep in bass, you’ll find Mel at drum and bass (her favorite genre) and tech house shows, crocheting her next festival fit, or training for her next half marathon.
Jonathan
Head of FinanceOriginally from New Jersey, Jonathan brings an analytical mind and a genuine love for community to plur.nyc as Head of Finance. With a background in consulting and a career in finance by day, he applies the same rigor and creativity to the rave scene by night, helping turn inspired ideas into sustainable experiences. Jonathan loves thinking both small and big: zooming in on the details that make individual events run smoothly, while also zooming out to help plur.nyc scale its organization and strengthen the NYC rave and EDM community. A natural collaborator, he’s driven by bringing people together and building spaces where creativity and connection thrive. Outside the dance floor, you’ll find him weightlifting, running, exploring cocktail bars, or deep in trance, drum & bass, and hyperpop.

Open Decks OperatorIf there’s a live show to be at, you can almost certainly count on me being there — I see on average about 100 artists live every year. Originally a rap/hip hop head, I got into the EDM scene once I discovered a lot of EDM artists were mixing the rap songs that I love- and now that I’m in it, I’m IN IT. Currently my favorite artist is Fred again… but my favorite electronic(ish) artists of all time would be Kaytranada or Daft Punk. My true passion lies at the intersection of uplifting underground, independent artists, while also bringing communities together and making live music accessible to everyone- and that’s something we’re making happen here at Plur.
Sofia
Open Decks OperatorSofia is a marketing manager and NYC EDM promoter, I specialize in bringing party people to fun spaces. Fueled by loud music and dancing all night, if you are looking for me, you will probably find me at a rave. I first found dubstep listening to music on my brother’s iPod, then ventured into deep house when I was old enough to go clubbing. Cycling and mountain biking got me into hypertechno, pedaling to the beat helped me hit a few PRs. My friends eventually brought me to a Subtronics show, which pulled me into bass music and kick-started my passion for promoting DJs and EDM parties in NYC.
